Cannot dismiss 'Backup Canceled' panel #488

When I logged into my dashboard, a backup started. I clicked the link to stop it. I now see this panel confirming the backup stopped, but I have no way to close this panel.

When I left the page and then returned to it later, I saw a panel that I could dismiss. I think I was supposed to see this before.
