Godfather? Hahaha :)
Andrew, I was actually hoping an article in curly brackets would be written... So, I am glad you brought this up. :) I think you guys could do a nicer job writing the article, so please don't let me stop you! I would definitely fill in the gaps wherever you guys need me to and provide feedback and stuff.
I think that a screencast would also be really cool. I can give this one a shot sometime early this week... Maybe Tuesday.
I will go ahead and write an article then, no worries. I am actually on vacation just now but I might have some time in the next couple of days.
Let's put something together man. I am really not as articulate in my writing, or speech for that matter :)
By together I mean you and I write it if we can
I will write a draft and pass it by you for review
Sounds good man, thank you! Enjoy your vacay
so here is the article draft... it's running on my staging server: http://teamgamer.com:4000/2014/08/02/create-new-theme/
don't put comments there, please, as it's not live. If you have any comments, you can leave them here or you could even do a PR or issue on the source... here: https://github.com/curly-bracket/curly-bracket.github.io/blob/source/source/_posts/create-new-theme.md
note: yes, I know the second code block is rendering without syntax colors... I have NO IDEA why... but that's pretty minor.
@mackenza I like what you have written. I found it very useful that you made explicit calls to the tag matching highlights and the OVR cursors because those are things that tend to slip through the cracks.
Hit the publish button! :D
Anyone (even myself) could do this, but maybe if @MiguelCastillo has the time he can do this since he's the Godfather of core themes ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sY1S34973zA ), maybe it makes the most sense from him ;)
I was thinking of just a short tutorial with maybe an explanation of the overall package and then a quick summary of the classes used and what they affect. It could be done in less or css, your choice.
If @MiguelCastillo is too busy, does anyone else want to do this? If not, I can, but I thought I would offer it to this group first. Let me know.
