first call fails with msg "Originate failed" #41

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.open outcall
2.dial a number
3.click ok to start the call

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The expected output is to place a call. I have instead a message that
"Originate failed"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I use win xp pro and i tested both 1.50 and 1.55. Both have the same problem.

Please provide any additional information below.

I found a solution but it is not the best. If i uncheck the setting "Allow
automatic sign in when connected to the internet" then everything is fine.
The only problem is that when i start the computer i have to manual sign in.

Hope I help
John

we are seeing the same issue. the first time we use outcall the call fails, but
then
retrying the same call works. it has to be some sort of network issue. the
computer
running outcall is on the internal network connected to the internal pbx server
so
the internet is not involved. the computer is running windows xp. and help
would be
appreciated.

1) make sure you are using the proper context to dial out
2) within manager.conf, make sure you have "originate" in the list of write
rights

If the problem still happens, right click on the outcall icon in the task bar,
select
"Debug Info". Then try your call again, and paste the result here.

Hi, FYI, in the OutCALL manual page for configuring Asterisk manager access at

  http://www.bicomsystems.com/docs/outcall/1.0/html/asterisk_settings.htm

the needed "originate" permission is not listed as needed.

Regards,
Tim Miller Dyck
