Can't load Pad Tie with certain gamepad

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Plug in my "Saitek Action Pad"
2. Load Pad Tie
3. Crash!

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to see main menu.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
PadTie 0.1 b1-2

Please provide any additional information below.

Pad Tie works with my Nyko Air Flo, but not my Saitek Action Pad. Action Pad 
causes an instant crash on load. Please see attached.

Additionally, if I unplug the Action Pad, Pad Tie loads. As soon as I plug it 
back in, CRASH!
