Array RF coil for SMS-EPI with TMS #6

We have discussed a new coil design aimed specifically at doing SMS-EPI but with the geometry (essentially the inner diameter) of the current single channel birdcage coil. There is another option to consider. ScanMed now offers two blanket coils that can be formed into full or partial cylinders:

We would need a holder to conform a blanket to the desired shape/diameter, but there appears to be sufficient coil heterogeneity (the small blanket is 16-channel, I don't yet know about the large one) that this could be an alternative to designing something from scratch. We can get a quote for a grant, for example. The small blanket is $60K and is probably too small to do a whole head as well as incorporate a TMS coil. I shall get a price on the large blanket and as many technical specs as I'm able.
