BrainSlugs83 / NewBiospheresMod

An update of Risugami's old Biospheres Mod for Minecraft. To avoid confusion, I've named it the *New* Biospheres Mod. :-)

A couple of ideas. #38

It would be nice to be able to turn off ore generation entirely. I've been playing around with this for a while now and it appears that the mod generates ores in the main biospheres regardless of what I do. To be clear I can fully control the ore spheres, but the regular biospheres continue to generate ores no matter what I try to remove them. My main reason for wanting this is that I have several mods that can control ore generation, and I was contemplating making a resource starved world that had very little of value with some custom generation, but it seems that is not currently possible.

Another thought is that it would be nice if the config file used unlocalized names for it's block configurations. For instance, when specifying what block to use for connecting bridges, rather than "planks," it would be something like minecraft:planks:0. I realize this might be harder for inexperienced people to wrap their heads around, but from someone who configures things constantly, it is difficult to understand what I should be putting in the place of "planks" if I want to specify something with a meta value greater than 0, or from a mod instead of the vanilla game.

I'm not sure how well the first suggestion plays out with the idea of letting the biome configure the terrain generation. But I will keep it in mind, it is a good idea.

Also, you should be able to put "minecraft:planks:0" in the latest version.
