Various building block mods that I've seen, primarily on Forge, feature 'cobblestone bricks' blocks. The staples of these blocks are uneven bricks of mixed sizes in the cobblestone and mossy cobblestone palettes. Essentially, rectangular cobblestones. Their differing shapes and sizes make them distinct from regular stone bricks, which are uniform. I would like to see your take on this concept, as the more weathered down and handmade look these blocks often have is great for rustic style builds.
The name 'cut cobblestone' makes more sense to me than 'cobblestone bricks' because you'd be cutting the stones into rectangles to create such a block, and because bricks usually refers to more refined substances in vanilla Minecraft.
I'll level with you: my interest in this is because NookBuild adds such blocks, and I don't want to have to have it loaded when most of its content already has parallels in Blockus, or are merely recolours of existing blocks.
With that said, NookBuild also adds a prismarine coloured reskin of their cobblestone bricks. If you like this idea and end up implementing it, a prismarine version, that shimmers like the regular prismarine block, would be lovely as well.~
The blocks as seen in the above mod, just as an example.
