Describe the bug
It appears that the mechanic used to determinate wether a missile should self-destruct is causing bombs to explode in mid air. It doesn't affect bomb dropped from a low alltitude, but bombs dropped from a high alltitude will never reach the ground.
To Reproduce
Drop a mk82 from a high alltitude. About 20 seconds after release, its yellow missile icon will diseapear and it will will self-detonate.
Expected behaviour
Infinite life time for the bomb until they reach the ground, they should not self destruct in the air after some time.
Additional context
I found a way to play arround this issue. If the .cfg is modified and the bomb dropTime is increased, the bomb lifetime before self-destruct will also increase. However, if the bomb hit the ground before the end of this new dropTime, it will sometime not explode and just bounce of target, especially when hitting the KSC buildings.
