Open writingdeveloper opened 5 years ago

writingdeveloper commented 5 years ago

Server OS : Ubuntu 18.04 LTS Server RAM : 16GB Minecraft Version : 1.14.4 Spigot Version : 1.14.4

I tried /wb fill command to fill all the maps in Dynmap. I it seems working, but there are some problems. It loads almost done but, there are spaces in some part and even I tried /wb fill again, it doesn't loaded.

Is there any solutions with this problem?

These map sections are not rendered by worldborder for some reason. I teleported to one of these sections and used /dynmap radiusrender 50 and on dynmap this section appeared because these chunks rendered by me. Unfortunately, I also have such a problem, and it is quite serious (map fragment): Screenshot_3

you forgot to run the spigot --forceUpgrade switch once , on your map and this is a Dynmap thing. you have chunks in 2 different minecraft versions .

Can confirm that this is an issue:

Spigot 14.4

i already cleared the whole dynmap stuff and rerendered it. Server was created on 1.14.4 and is that version since.

Pretty much has to be an issue with WorldBorder rendering Screenshot_20190917_122544 (as you can see on the right side, manually visited places don't have that issue)

Are there any updates to when this will be fixed? This is pretty annoying

Tsoccerguy3 commented 4 years ago

I compiled this build for 1.15.1 if you are going to upgrade your server https://github.com/Fejm/WorldBorder . but those dark areas are lighting issues in the map chunks and have nothing to do with the plugin . i recommend you purge all the maps . disable dynmap , do your trims or fill maintenance . run spigot --forceUpgrade 1 time so that you are not forcing updates on the fly . and get the cleanlight plugin and run it on all your worlds . Now that maintenance is done , restore the dynmap plugin and do a full render . If you have a virtual server hosting company , you will need to do this locally on your personal computer logging in on localhost and make your self OP

The dark areas are definitely not lighting issues: image

The dark areas are definitely not lighting issues:

You're right, they are almost certainly Dynmap rendering issues.

Is there any way to fix it then, other than flying to every single blank spot?

Is there any way to fix it then, other than flying to every single blank spot? I just explained this here and there is no shortcut https://github.com/Brettflan/WorldBorder/issues/156#issuecomment-570681591

Just came back after a year, surprised that this hasn't been at least acknowledged as a bug...

Problem arises from #101(In an attempt to reduce the problem), and was noticed again in #145.

The workaround is to run /wb fill with force = true /wb world fill 20 208 true

Or just use another plugin. (Chunkmaster / Fast Chunk Pregenerator) I do not recommend using WB at 1.13+
