The distance measurement data from the laser device should be included in the HDF5 file for the scan. Possibly as a new and separate sensor.

I have added methods to the DiscScanner HDF5 Library (v1.14.0) to include the laser instrument as a new sensor type (“LSR”) with the same HDF5 group structure as for all other sensors.
