In the event that Carl has not consumed any water in a set period of time, say 20 mins, the CWaaS engine needs to notify him that he may be dehydrated.

Perhaps there could be a button the users can press if they think Carl should be notified that he is dehydrated

Both options are needed. I like @zsands input as Carl may be saying he is working out, in which case he may need to drink water at a faster rate. However, if all users are sleeping I would still like Carl to be notified of his potential dehydration.

I can sign up for a text messaging service to text Carl, but perhaps we should look into push notifications more? Thoughts?
