Radiator #256

Brick defines radiators as Heat exchangers designed to transfer thermal energy from one medium to another. But the types here are only Baseboard Radiator, Electric Radiator, Hot Water Radiator, and Steam Radiator. Radiators can also be used for cooling in many projects with cold water, which can be installed over the floor, or attached to the ceiling. But the subclass only has baseboard radiators. For Electric Radiators, there are portable versions for beds, desks, chairs, and other human activity areas.

Thanks for identifying this issue! What would you recommend as the best fix going forward? What kinds of radiators would be used for cooling? Is there a generic term for electric radiators that are portable and used for other kinds of furniture?

Thanks.

  1. Adding radiative heat transfer equipment is an option.
  2. Ceiling Radiative Panels for cooling is very common, there are also cold beams.
  3. It is hard to define a universal term for these devices, the panels could be placed onto desks or chairs, inside blankets, or with self-holding frames, maybe radiative panels.
