If authors wanted to mimic the clinical glucocorticoid treatment in mice, then was the increase in circulating glucocorticoid content experimentally-induced in mice comparable to the level seen in humans undergoing glucocorticoid therapy?

Notes about clinical guidance:

• This study treated adrenal insufficiency with 2-8 mg dexamethasone/day for a week: doi:10.1210/jc.2011-3350.
• A typical dose for a dexamethasone suppression test is 1 mg for the low dose and 8 mg for the high dose doi:10.1001/archpsyc.1981.01780260017001 and pmid:3004275
