Integrate with the Scala Saddle project for Data Analysis. #14

It would be nice to have this awesome project be integrated with saddle.github.io . We would have a full ipython pandas environment like in scala. Not sure if it works off the shelf. But Il'll definitely try to work on this.

Why did you close this? I'd like it too, but I'm not sure I'd want special support in scala-notebook itself for Saddle. I do think it would be good to have common needs for interactive Saddle use inform the design of scala-notebook, so the functionality can be reused elsewhere. What did you have in mind specifically? I don't know Saddle too well yet.

Sorry. I actually wanted to post the issue on the saddle project issues page. I didn't think that many people might be interested about it here. But I was clearly wrong. So I'm reopening it.

Can anybody comment on the preferred form of such an integration (also w.r.t. #20)? Are there any modularity requirements, or is it sufficient to simply add saddle to the dependency list and sort out the wiring?

This would be great to have.

Also interop with Breeze, TypeLevel, AlgeBird

KenCoder commented 10 years ago

I think you can just add them to the dependency list.
