Hi BrisJS, I am not Troy McClure, but you may remember me from a couple of BrisJS presentations I have done over the years about React and Redux. I am part of an excellent team building the technology for Travel at 60 and a couple of related applications. The business is growing like crazy so we are looking for 2 more developers to join our team.

In only our fourth year of operation we've just won Mumbrella Media Brand of the year, and we're only getting busier and better from here on out. You might be surprised to learn that the media brand for Australia's over 60s is also a very innovative company, utilising leading edge data, media, ad-tech and marketing technologies to better serve a highly engaged audience. Already this year we have:

Grown traffic by over 30%.
Redesigned and launched a new brand.
Launched a new travel website.
Commenced our globalisation plans.

The technology team is responsible for the development and operation of Starts at 60's technology systems. We work on a media site, a travel site and a number of supporting systems. You will join a small, agile, devops, cross-functional team.

Role responsibilities

Design and deliver quality software solutions
Work with the user experience and visual design team to create amazing user interfaces
Share your knowledge with other team members while maintaining an open mind and willingness to learn
Find solutions to technical challenges
Build scalable and reliable applications that can handle millions of users

Skills & experience

Real world experience delivering complex web applications (HTML5 / CSS / JavaScript)
JavaScript or Typescript and front-end development skills using React, Angular, Elm or similar
Experience building web applications with Node.js
Attention to detail and the ability to stick with things until they are done
Build automation and DevOps (AWS or similar)
Experience working with Wordpress (optional)
