Let's have Nathan pick ~5 interesting RFCs in Discussion phase (https://wiki.php.net/rfc), then (one at a time):
have Nathan briefly introduce the RFC
have an open "roundtable" discussion about its viability, importance, potential improvements, etc.
have our own online poll to capture the votes of in-person and online meetup attendees. (Show all poll results at the end of the night.)
This will take the burden off of organisers to find enough presenters to fill the night as well as invite attendees to find their voice (since many meetups involve attendees quietly sitting and watching presentations).
If more attractive, we could discuss one or two RFCs between each presentation as a way of breaking up the usual format.
Hey @mickmackusa, this a very interesting idea that I hadn't considered before. I might raise it at the next Meetup and see if we get any bites. Thanks for the suggestion!
