System packaging 101: RPM, DEB, Homebrew #11

It'd be kinda cool to have three speakers, expert in each system give a 101 quickstart (perhaps lightning talk?) in how to package python apps for the most common Linux distros, and of course Homebrew. Packaging a Python app for homebrew is one of those things I've been interested in for a long time, but it never quite made it to the priority section of my todo list. Would love to have the key takeaways delivered in a talk.

I like the idea of covering all the popular formats/distributions. I can definitely put my hand up for the RPM side. Do we know anyone who is into Debian or Homebrew?
