When trying to run the project on Tomcat 8 we run into the following problem : at java.io.File.<init>(Unknown Source) at com.britesnow.snow.web.SnowServlet.init(SnowServlet.java:34) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapper.initServlet(StandardWrapper.java:1241) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapper.loadServlet(StandardWrapper.java:1154) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapper.allocate(StandardWrapper.java:827) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapperValve.invoke(StandardWrapperValve.java:135) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContextValve.invoke(StandardContextValve.java:106) at org.apache.catalina.authenticator.AuthenticatorBase.invoke(AuthenticatorBase.java:506) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHostValve.invoke(StandardHostValve.java:142) at org.apache.catalina.valves.ErrorReportValve.invoke(ErrorReportValve.java:79) at org.apache.catalina.valves.AbstractAccessLogValve.invoke(AbstractAccessLogValve.java:610) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardEngineValve.invoke(StandardEngineValve.java:88) at org.apache.catalina.connector.CoyoteAdapter.service(CoyoteAdapter.java:537) at org.apache.coyote.ajp.AbstractAjpProcessor.process(AbstractAjpProcessor.java:827) at org.apache.coyote.AbstractProtocol$AbstractConnectionHandler.process(AbstractProtocol.java:658) at org.apache.tomcat.util.net.NioEndpoint$SocketProcessor.doRun(NioEndpoint.java:1566) at org.apache.tomcat.util.net.NioEndpoint$SocketProcessor.run(NioEndpoint.java:1523) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor.runWorker(Unknown Source) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run(Unknown Source) at org.apache.tomcat.util.threads.TaskThread$WrappingRunnable.run(TaskThread.java:61) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

No problem on tomcat 7.

Should be fixed in the latest 2.0.4-SNAPSHOT

Well I can't really speak about Tomcat 8 ATM but I can tell you that now, with the lastest SNAPSHOT, the bug appears when using Jetty (Maven Plugin) : at java.io.File.(File.java:277) at com.britesnow.snow.web.SnowServlet.init(SnowServlet.java:35) at org.eclipse.jetty.servlet.ServletHolder.initServlet(ServletHolder.java:532) at org.eclipse.jetty.servlet.ServletHolder.getServlet(ServletHolder.java:415) at org.eclipse.jetty.servlet.ServletHolder.handle(ServletHolder.java:657)

@MorganMaison Strange it works for us. So, few questions: Do you see the jetty error when: 1) "mvn jetty:run" 2) Running jetty on a exploded webapps folder 3) Running jetty on a .war file

Also, which version of Jetty are we talking about. We retested with 9.2.2 (exploded folder) and everything seems to work fine.

MorganMaison commented 10 years ago

@jeremychone We see the error on the "mvn jetty:run" goal.

jeremychone commented 10 years ago

Can you give me the plugin jetty plugin you are using.

The correct one to use is:

org.eclipse.jetty jetty-maven-plugin On Thursday, October 23, 2014, Morgan Maison notifications@github.com wrote: > Hello, we see the error on the "mvn jetty:run" goal. > > ## > > Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub > https://github.com/BriteSnow/snow/issues/45#issuecomment-60218056. ## Jeremy Chone http://britesnow.com/ (415) 699 9912 Building Enterprise HTML5 Applications
