I saw a closed ticket indicating that elasticsearch 5.x is not supported currently and there was going to be a release in January with this new support. Have you approached progress in this regard? Do you expect to have a release soon that supports elasticsearch 5 or do you recommend us setting up using an older server?

I also do not see the java code in the repo, are you planning on posting that?

Release has been delayed as we decided to use the RestClient that was developed as part of ES 5 which essentially should make the receivers/collectors release agnostic.

We currently use the native interface (which was best performing in releases prior to ES 5) for which ES makes no guarantees for support even for dot releases.

Our current plan puts the release in about 2 weeks - but I'll give the date 3/31 in case we run into unexpected issues.

We'll also push the full code base at the same time.

Thank you for your quick reply. I was going to ask you about the full code release as well, so thank you for answering.
