Check into load time issues #80

Functionality: Load time is slow (e.g. when you click the “change to another source” or click any of the main navigation buttons -- People, Citations).

Patrick notes in meeting on July 8, 2021 that this is due to too many API calls.

Patrick notes that the initial API call when the page loads is one of the problems. The way the API is set up, it requires a number of API calls one after the other. Birkin did elapse time, and getting 1.5 seconds for the raw data. That is unexpectedly long but the users are experiencing 3-4 seconds. So, Birkin is not sure what the issue is at this point. Patrick notes that the reason the load time issues appear worse is that there is a lot more going on in each of the pages of the new form.
