I have installed Waterfox in my phone as soon it was available because it is my browser of choice for PC, and other than some crashes that didn't cause much trouble and it has been a very productive month.
However, I strangely ran out of data, which was weird. I have a 14gb data plan and most months only end up using only 3~4gb. So I was looking around in the settings and found out that since November 30 Waterfox used about 12.8gb of data, but only 1.29gb on the foreground and 11.51 on the background.
I really don't know what the issue might be but for the time being I disable Background Data usage for the app. I am using only UBlockOrigin and DarkReader as Add-ons.
@Edit: disabling the Background Data by itself was not enough. I had to install a separate app to kill the Waterfox process do stop the data plan usage.
