I don't know exactly what you mean, but some sites checks only user-agent, so even if you would add js features, then that wouldn't change anything. If you mean to set UA to more recent FF version, then that's not good idea, cuz can break other websites, it's not that easy.
It's a combination of adding those features and then bumping the UA. But best to ignore these messages, probably just some library added in to steer the masses to update so they don't pester tech support. But it could be lazy web developers taking short cuts and cutting support for non-mainstream browsers which aren't people I hold in high regard.
I'm not seeing any issues with the example page.
Yahoo Mail checks about once a month and looks exclusively at the user agent. I've learned that by using Chris Pederick's User Agent Switcher extension that they think iPhone 3 (released in 2008) is more modern than Firefox 56 (released March 7, 2017) which is what Waterfox Classic is based on.
So, either change your user agent if you encounter that level of stupid BS, contact those places and tell them their developers are idiots or stop using garbage services. You don't need absolute cutting edge to do 99.9999% of what most people do in their entire lives at this point. It's just developers being too lazy to test anything except Chrome.
I'm not seeing issues with https://beamdog.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals either. I'd recommend https://add0n.com/useragent-switcher.html which provides per-site functionality. Of course, with Waterfox Classic not having received an update in 6 months, the "browser not supported" sites may have a valid point, here.
As the developer of an entire web platform Waterfox is 100% capable of accomplishing any modern task within reason. And no, the iPhone 3 isn't even close to Waterfox Classic, that was sarcasm.
I do agree however it would be nice to see an update.
Another site stopped being supported by waterfox, instead of adding the "compatibility" option it woulndt be better to support what is needed?
