In L225-229 the description of germination could be more quantitative. In Bruna 2002, with unprotected seeds, ~2%, ~1%, and ~6% germinated after one year in 1-ha, 10-ha, and CF, respectively. After 2 years, ~ 2%, 3%, and 10% germinated. So the assertion that there's no seedbank seems to only hold for 1-ha fragments. The number of seeds germinating in other habitats roughly doubled after a second year, right?
It's a bit more complicated, I think, because most of that 10% did germinate in yr 1. But I tried to clarify and added long-term to the generalization about seed banks.
