Does "this.renderChunk" not work outside of the MIGX Config? #292

I'm trying to use the "renderer":"this.renderChunk","renderchunktpl":"<span style=\"color:red;\">[[+session]]<\/span>" combo directly in the Grid Columns textarea and I keep getting a blank field in the grid. When I try the exact same settings in the MIGX Config editor it works fine... but I'd like to use the JSON text area in the TV.

Does this renderer only work in the Config Editor?

Also, is there any way to enable the Column Buttons via the TV editor, not the Config Editor?

I noticed a new update today, awesome! I'm still wondering if these features will ever be carried over from the GUI config to the main TV editor. I'd really like to be able to use "this.renderChunk" and have "Action Buttons" in TVs without having to use the config, as it's a bottleneck on our workflow.
