Dataloader rewrite #265

Draft request for now as I couldn't yet test everything -- ven. Vimala feel free to have a look and familiarize yourself with the changes, happy to discuss any points of disagreement! With this codebase, everything except visual-view should work. graph-view will need some further adjustments, I doubt its going to work as it is right now.

I made another PR for cleaning up the dataloader part. With the merge of the API that is already done for the API. When that is merged I'm happy to merge this one with master.
