Description

Fixed panel overlap desktop icons and wallpaper

Budgie version

budgie-desktop 10.8.1

Operating System

Solus 4.4

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. add top or left, or right panel
  2. parameter set as never hide (by defaut)

Actual result

Expected result

fixed panel don't overlap icons and wallpaper VirtualBox_Solus_10_10_2023_19_37_21

Overlapping the wallpaper is expected behavior. Overlapping the desktop icons isn't, but I'm not sure if this is an issue with budgie-desktop-view or an issue with Nemo's desktop view. @EbonJaeger, does Solus use BDV or Nemo for desktop icons?

It's likely an issue with Budgie Desktop View. Nemo desktop view correctly does it. Gonna move this to the BDV repo to reflect that.
