All the budgeting /saving / investment apps are utilizing the Plaid API. The API is free for testing and fetches transactions, account balance, and authorization.

We have talked about doing bank integration. For the unforseeable future, it is being treated as a stretch goal. There are two problems that we would need to address:

Security and legal BS
Every bank account integration I've heard about ends up failing in the area of categorization because of companies who name their vendor names something like: "sflkasdjh Visa CA fjds;fklsj". How do we categorize companies who don't have the decency of giving us a real name.
