Additional data for transport #1100

RK: Is there any source for car trips, or cycling/walking? Would be good to include full suite of transport if possible.

There are no new cycling or walking related datasets on Dublinked at this time. However, one possibility would be a tool showing isochrones for different walking distances and cycling times. These could be pre-calculated but would ideally be generated dynamically through users selected parameters e.g. start location, average speed, intended travel time or max distance. This would require information or routing based on the road network and paths. As such its development might tie be combined with development of a routing tool. Further enhancements might select points of interest matching the user selected parameters. An advanced version would utilise multimodal routing but this is dependent on availability of suitable data e.g. GTFS.
