Using bumblebee slowly crashes system #583

I am using a Geforce GT 730m and a Haswell processor on a Lenovo Thinkpad T440p. I have tried using bumblebee with both Fedora 20 and Ubuntu 14.04. In both distributions, having bumblebee enabled started causing problems about 30 seconds to a minute after the X server started. At first everything would work fine but the kernel would start producing ELF parsing errors upon loading any process or shared object after those 30 seconds to a minute.
