Without question, the top of my wishlist is the request to have a way to retrieve a player’s current fireteam members: https://github.com/Bungie-net/api/issues/307
This would enable so much useful functionality, such as looking up opponents in real-time while loading into a competitive or Trials match, etc.
I'll throw one on the list myself, #735. Sockets have become enough of a shitshow that they really need a guide: and that guide's going to be pretty extensive. I need to take the time to create it.
I'm going to throw #308 on here again, hopefully third time is the charm?
Advanced write actions for us 3rd parties 😊
Ability to pickup (purchase from vendors) bounties via apps would be AMAZING. This would cut out so much travelling to the Tower it would be game changing.
Getting the checklist definitions updated with all the Forsaken stuff would be great to see! I think @justrealmilk has already linked the appropriate issue for it!
Adding which encounters were played to raid postgames is our highest priority issue: #710. Our users request this feature almost every day.
#502 public vendors endpoint is the no-brainer obvious choice to add to the wishlist! (Xur being the priority of them all, of course).
It would be awesome if base stat value changes made to weapons and armor by their possible (randomized) perks were taken into account so we could get an actual range of possible stat values instead of just the base stat values.
AWA for reusable plug perks would be such a massive win.
If 'mitigating risk' is a concern, perhaps it could first be done for something relatively mild, like configuring the emote wheel?
https://github.com/Bungie-net/api/issues/758 Providing a single component for Triumphs for a user would be a huge boost in developer ergonomics.
https://github.com/Bungie-net/api/issues/632 Release Icon - that little triangle overlay - would be nice for identifiying items by 'release'.
https://github.com/Bungie-net/api/issues/385 Here's a big one - Screenshots for full armour sets 😎
I can't give that one enough emoji to describe how cool it would be.
Ours would be https://github.com/Bungie-net/api/issues/739 and we'll second blazeboss with https://github.com/Bungie-net/api/issues/710
I'd be surprised if it's the kind of data sitting statically server-side, but maximum potential light to be returned on the characters component alongside light would be cool.
this a problem in-game and API, so apologies, but if you could pass it onto the right people, i have not been able to get bungie support's attention
i am dead sure that Enhanced Momentum Transfer and i think Rifle Dexterity ? have the wrong perk icons
Hmm, I'll pass that on to folks, thanks!
Have you posted a thread on the Bungie Help forum with a brief in-game video or screenshots documenting the issue?
And, have you opened a separate issue in the repository with a screenshot of the incorrect perk icons showing in the official companion app?
If so, then you should reference which issue # you have on file here about it, so that they can find your wishlist item and TFS it properly and so forth.

True, that'd be very useful - any info you can provide would be great.
Fixing the seal title issue as we speak in fact! The record gets returned, but the definition has no title text... but I just fixed that for the next deployment.
Few of my requests:
https://github.com/Bungie-net/api/issues/472 https://github.com/Bungie-net/api/issues/8 (more for your benefit)
Not an issue yet, at least not that I can find, but the playlist modes such are a bit messy, especially if a game type (control) is both competitive or casual, we can't sep them. Having a way to track "ranked" modes and "social" modes continues to be something our community hammers our support system about.
Thanks! <3
https://github.com/Bungie-net/api/issues/736 would be really helpful.
https://github.com/Bungie-net/api/issues/642 is another one that really impacts how we're able to display stuff.
https://github.com/Bungie-net/api/issues/640 - We're definitely seeing issues even in desktop Chrome in loading all the item images.
https://github.com/Bungie-net/api/issues/535 - Another one in the category of "itemCategoryHash
es are really useful".
I love to see a cleaner, simpler, and more uniform structure to the public milestones return data. Or, a "here is everything you might see in a public milestone entry" doc page. either one.
Phew, I need to find some time to work on these! These are all great suggestions, keep them coming!
Documentation request: an overlook at stat interpolation and how it's applied to items https://github.com/Bungie-net/api/issues/797
Any changes around #608 ? It would be awesome to be able to fetch Nightfall highscores directly via the API. This still gets requested by users frequently :-)
Just as a heads up on the winter wishlist:
It's too late for me to add any winter wishlist changes in time for the December 11th release, which is our last scheduled release of the year. I'll be attempting to work on these as I can, but I won't be able to deploy any winter wishlist fixes until the new year as a result.
May have missed the boat...

Okay, I went through the winter wishlist and categorized them by feasibility (I also added new Issues for asks that didn't yet have them as far as I could find in my searching). I'm likely just going to start at the top of this list and work my way down as far as I can with the time I can find over the next few weeks. Let me know if you have any questions, concerns, or additions you'd like to see!
Feasible without significant changes/with known cost of changes
#712 Add Competitive to DestinyActivityModeType
#502 Public Vendors endpoint
#811 Account for randomized perks in base item definition stats
#761 Add vendor hash to items
#642 Find a solution for custom icons in font (string replacement?)
#640 Return smaller icons (1/2, 1/4, 1/8 sizes)
#148 Add data to schema to indicate flag enumerations (in the spec, turn it into a plain old integer... and add either documentation, new extension attributes, or both to re-create the original desired relationships)
Likely feasible, but requires more investigation to make sure
#472 allPvP is including private matches and should not be (I fear that this might actually be something that requires downstream changes: if not, then this may be simple to fix)
Documentation asks (feasible, just time consuming)
Feasible, but with potentially prohibitive cost
Feasible, but requires designer buy-in/more intensive testing before we can greenlight
#840 Checklist/Collections for Ornaments
Doubtful if feasible at this time - needs investigation
Not feasible with our current constraints
Not strictly needed given existing data
^ I would like to have #148 added to the wishlist.
I generate clients using the OpenAPI Generator and it adds validation on the enum fields which causes legitimate responses to break.
I’m currently using a fork with a patched spec to generate my clients in the meanwhile, which is suboptimal.
Cool, adding it in! Thank you!
I still would like to have the player's GroupId at the time of the instance in the PGCR. This would cut down the amount of calls I have to make to the API to figure out if players in the match/activity were part of the same clan.
Please link any old Github Issues here that are high enough priority for you that you'd like to see them prioritized for this year's Winter Wishlist. As usual, I can't promise that we'll get to everything on the list - particularly when the fix requires game-side dependencies - but this will give me the ability to prioritize what's most pressing for you during the normally less feature development intense holiday season.
Is there something dying in the backlog that you want more than anything else? If you had to pick a single thing for us to fix or enhance, what would it be? Please link it here: I'm eager to know what your priorities are, and your call-outs here will make a difference in what gets fixed during this year's winter wishlist.
