Please tell me if this will be fixed soon, or if there is any way around this problem without removing the mod completely.

Funny how a supposedly 'better' hurt timer is always breaking lmao, I can try, I don't think I backported the fake player support for later versions if I ever added one
Seems like, when Robot from OpenComputers mod hit entity, his "frame" timer never ticking - robot cant hit same entity anymore.
