If it was on skunkworks, they specifically patched this out by adding a range check
This is on a private server that me and my friend run with minimal mods. I'm not even sure what Skunkworks is in this context. I absolutely adore the function of the tether, and as I said it worked very well for quite a while before suddenly having this bug. Another portion of the issue that may be relevant is that it makes using build planner in a normal fashion impossible until you break the tether, which is made more difficult because it takes much longer to recognize the range of the limit once this starts happening. I've had to completely stop using it to be able to play normally.
I am currently working on a update should speed it up considerably and hopefully fix your issue at the same time. Just for clarification, does your world have any mod components?
Mostly npc mods. One piston mod, but no other block mods. No new components. Also I've noticed it won't pull across connected grids although the "vanilla" pull will do so, but that is unrelated to the issue here.
I've been using it for the last several days and it hasn't had any issues at all so I'm going to call this resolved. Thanks again for an amazing mod.
Tried with multiple containers at both near and longer distances. Build planner is cleared almost instantly, which is normal however as stated no parts are moved.
This occurred on a dedicated server, however tether was working very well before suddenly showing this behaviour and has not returned to normal since.
