Feature Request: Wake-up Word Functionality for Speech Recognition #147

Hi ,

Appreciate your work on Talk-to-GPT! I've a suggestion: could we add a wake-up word feature similar to "Alexa" or "Ok Google"? The mic would keep listening, but only transcribes after the wake-up word.

This could help in noisy environments or when multi-tasking. Maybe the existing pause function could be utilized here?

I would suggest you set a custom pause/wake word, like "Okay, ChatGPT" in the settings. Then start a Chat and say the pause/wake word to pause the transcription. When you say the custom pause/wake word, the extension would transcribe again. But you would have to use the pause/wake word again to stop the conversation.

ou yess thats a great idea, maybe also add the possibilty to always be active, even when chorme is minimized or in system tray, and that you are not required to press the start button in order to talk to chat gpt
