CABLE-UM10.6 initially was based a version of CABLE that was working/tested in UM8.5. This version ran for ~20 years. However extensive analysis has not been done (for several reasons. One being that using UMPLOT scripts have been less than reliably successful as we don't have the right STASH etc. Secondly, efforts were called off pending the implementation of CABLE@HEAD and GA7.1 and hopefully our STASH from ACCESS1.3).

Using CABLE from the trunk@HEAD has now been implemented. There have been changes made to include files in modules(#149), some other minor changes and changes to the UM/ coupling side that we don't have in the trunk.

It is planned that further updates to the trunk will facilitate CMIP6 preparation. Therefore we modify the trunk now wit the updates realised in our CABLE-10.6 coupling now, so that future updates can be EASILY ported.

This Ticket contains modifications to the trunk code realised in our CABLE-10.6 coupling. Note the directory structure of the 10.6 version has not yet been adopted we need include existing tickets first as well as freeze contributions and spam Users of an impending major structural change.
