It took quite a while to reconcile worker/master discrepancies. Could I suggest that in future, code merges of cable_mpimaster.F90, cable_mpiworker.F90 and cable_mpicommon.F90 be done manually to ensure that the number of additional/subtracted elements in the worker and master are exactly the same, that the order of the elements is preserved and the integers (e.g. Nparams) in cable-mpicommon is updated accordingly.
