Database design #5

Database tables will need to be set up.

This entails deciding on a database type, choosing a dialect, researching the data needed for the site, and putting the tables together using best practices (3NF+ or etc.)

I am happy to work on this if nobody else is interested - I am also okay with working collaboratively, or working on something else if this is someone else's strong suit.

Sounds great if you want to start on that. I am good with Express and can help with making the server itself with authentication, but I am used to MongoDB so if we are going with Postgres then that is not my forte. I think that is a good choice to go with though as it seems it has become standard at a lot of big companies today.

Do (or anyone else) have a preference for an ORM? I've used Kysely for a couple projects which works great. I've also heard a lot of good things about Prisma and Drizzle.

I like Prisma. I have used that on personal projects and we use it at my internship as well and their project his huge.
