Ideally we should use a central monitoring tool for all components under Research IT. We currently have Nagios for the SCC, however, we can extend this to include the storage components. This will be simplified once the SCC has been migrated to the research VLAN (.216).

already added email contact for our team. Currently the nagios sever can nat out to check other server. Need server list for monitor.
