Entity-Attribute pattern #4

Dear developers,

The explicit triple (entity)-(has attribute)-(attribute) that was in the CDE semantic core model is missing in CARE-SM. My guess is that is redundant since it is implicit in the model. Am I right? is this a problem if we added explicit in our models?

Hi @NuriaQueralt! My apologies for my late response. Indeed, this relationship is redundant, and sometimes not true, due to not all Attributes defined are Personal Attribute, like in the case of Symptom onset attribute, which is an attribute but not a personal attribute. In order to be more flexible with the attribute measured in the model, I decided not define this (entity as Person)-(has attribute)-(attribute) more the core structure.

Understood @pabloalarconm. After internal discussion within the BIND project, we decided that we will add this triple explicitly when it is true, because it will make our queries simpler.
