Technical Services Committee- Index relationship designators in the Bib tags 100e, 110e, 700e, and 710e. Details: The ability to search and filter results by relationship designator would narrow down results to a specific role when the creator queried as multiple roles. For example, Benjamin Franklin is both an author and an artist, and the user would select the proper relationship designator to determine desired results.
Annual Project Recommendation no. 1
Technical Services Committee- Index the Bib 880 fields as fielded searches (e.g., title, author). Details: 880 fields with non-Latin script are currently indexed in VuFind for keyword searching only, so users cannot perform fielded searches (title, author) in non-Latin script. If they do, the result is always 0 returns.
Annual Project Recommendation no.5

We do not currently have plans to make any additional changes to indexes.
UIU- We are noticing that the Language facet in VuFind 4.1 is pulling in works that don't match the predominant language, particularly works in translation. It is also pulling in languages listed in subfield h in the 041 field. And, this is causing some confusion by the user why other language materials are showing in the results.
For example, when searching for Orwell's 1984, when you click on English in the Language Facet, it also brings in Spanish translation, Czech translation, and others.
[NS-Right now, New VuFind is pulling language from: 008 bytes 35-37 plus 041adejh]
[UIU requests CARLI] exclude utilizing 041 subfield h [language code of original] [and keep the remaining logic 008 bytes 35-37 plus 041adej ]
