@dmcmpbll I can look into this further (it could be a "lightbox" bug, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lightbox_(JavaScript) ), but in the meantime, it is possible to "close" the dialog box by touching ("clicking") anywhere outside the dialog box.
Well look at that! :)
On my phone using Safari, there is no "x" available to close the Request Item Screen if a patron changes their mind about placing the request.
The patron can use the "back" button to get off of the request screen, but that takes them back to the search results list, rather than to the specific record they were reviewing.
