Report definition files should exist in their own location outside the application files directory. Likewise, a separate git repository should be created to house them. Two things need to be done. A configuration option needs to be added to the WR settings where the path to the reports can be specified. Secondly, the reports need to be untracked from the current git repo and a new repo created and the reports added to it.
