The Ygo Dueling Mod for Minecraft aims to reflect the real life TCG experience in a 3D open world game by not only adding the cards but also the packs and their pull ratios to the game.
I went into a test world to try out the mod in creative, and quickly came across an issue, both the menus for the card data base and the packs were completely empty. I went to check the config for the mod but the button to open it wasn't usable, you know, that "Deepslate gray" button type that when you click on it, doesn't even have an animation to show you clicked it, ...
(when you click a "Stone gray" button it's texture will change for a brief portion of a second to give the illusion of pressing down on it. while "Deepslate gray" buttons don't do this)
...anyways, so the config menu was non existent in my copy of the mod i guess, but maybe it has to do with a sort of Datapack it depends on? Haven't found any Datapacks, i checked for links on the mod page the discord, and even visited the legacy version of the mod. the mod page illudes to there being Datapacks to add cards and such, mostly involving custom cards. though this suggests data packs are the key I'm needing?...
Though just to be thorough, I checked the resource packs through running Minecraft and checking them in the list in game. this came with some fruitfulness as just what i was checking for was confirmed, doing this doesn't answer my question or fix the problem, but it gives me more information: The Mod's resource pack was "meant for an older version of Minecraft".
I was using the 1.19.2 version of the mod on said version of Minecraft. so this technically isn't supposed to be a problem, and yet here we are.
SUMMARY (FOR PEAPLE WHO HAVE THE LITERASY OF THE AVERAGE YU-GI-OH! PLAYER):
i tried to "play solitaire" but got "Drolled" right off the bat, I would have Negated with "Called By" but apparently I forgot to put one into my deck. I went to look for it but I wasn't able to find it. apparently some new support is coming out for my deck but it's Ocg exclusive, and i live in the Tcg. I'm pretty Shure there's a card in the architype that's able to solve the "droll" problem that is part of the Tcg but It's Elusive. in the meantime i went to check to see the banlist that recently dropped and to my despair, called by was hit.
Or, if you don't understand the first one, my cards and card packs aren't in the creative menu, the config menu for the mod is not accessible or just nonexistent, I have a hunch it might be because I need a data pack but I can't say for Shure nor was I able to find where the data packs are, the last thing i checked was the Resource pack list in game, and found that it was "meant for an older version of Minecraft", and if it makes a difference i am using the most reascent version of 1.19.2
