Adding functions for the new lineage graph features

The lint changes makes this hard to read. note: might be better to remove timestamp_future as that is currently not used by the PCG and should probably be removed in the future. The endpoint will try to figure out future root ids in relation to the root ids passed in, not to the future timestamp.
