Before adding data to our map, we need to reach out to Tribes that submitted and ask for permission to add the data to our map. We want to do this because Tribes submitted data to WQX for one purpose, and they may or may not want their data used/displayed for our purposes.
@Lbenton114 - let's bump this to the top of the priority list in Nov/Dec 2023 + 2024, after we present at the Tribal Conference in Oct. Completing this will include:
[ ] Pulling tribal data from WQX (Lead = @Lbenton114 ; Deadline Dec 31, 2023)
[ ] Developing email/letter outreach materials explaining the project and our ask (Lead = @AHolder1 )
[ ] Contacting tribal contacts listed in WQX and formally requesting to add data to the Map (using language from the above step) (Lead = AH or LB, TBD)
[ ] Add approved data to the map, share a link with Tribal partners, solicit feedback on how their data are displayed or anything else in the map
[ ] Add explanation of data layer to the User Manual
[ ] Present updates to CA Issues Workgroup, solicit feedback
[ ] Integrate feedback into Map & Manual
[ ] Repeat as appropriate (TBD - contact EPA WQX managers to understand update frequency)
