I suggest to use additional methods to recognize bots.

Use BTTV channel bots (https://api.betterttv.net/2/channels/{channel})
Use twitchbots.info to identify bots (https://twitchbots.info/api)

As the author of twitchbots.info, I am of course biased toward that service, however I don't think it's current API really fits the requirements here. I'd be willing to implement better suited APIs.

I am definitely looking to add more integrations with external data sources, especially for bots, channel and user info etc. Thanks for providing your website, it could do a great job at helping with bot detection - feel free to contact me so we can eek out a better API system, I have some ideas that we could implement together.
