[DP] (CLARISA) CLARISA Regions for One CGIAR and UN.49 standard #2342

Open mralmanzar opened 2 years ago

mralmanzar commented 2 years ago

According to the One CGIAR Strategy, the CGIAR works in six regions: Central and West Asia and North Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, West and Central Africa, East and Southern Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Pacific ([see here] (https://www.cgiar.org/how-we-work/strategy/)).

In order to make them available in CLARISA, we were trying to find equivalences with overall standards such as the ones defined by the United Nations and that are being used in the Annual Report Templates and other MISes.

Since there is no such equivalence, the identifiers for such regions are customized by CLARISA as follows: image.png

Action Points:

Since there is no such equivalence, the identifiers for such regions are customized by CLARISA

@yeyo2k3, thanks for working on this. When checking the list in our testing environment I just noted that there is a column called "region type" and all records says CGIAR. I don't recall we have agreed to have that column. Can you please explain what this is or take it out?

Thank you in advance,

yeyo2k3 commented 2 years ago

@htobon the original idea is that we could include aditional types in the future for example IATI regions, these ones have another code.
To identity which region is IATI or CGIAR, we need to add this column type. Currently, we have only CGIAR regions

yeyo2k3 commented 2 years ago

@mralmanzar all changes are in production environment. in addition we removed the field regiontypes according with @htobon and @juansebastianortega

Hi @yeyo2k3, I have sent a revised version of the OneCGIAR Regions and countries associated to them yesterday, however, the last comment of this issue is from 21 days ago.

I will re-open this issue until you please clarify and confirm that you took into consideration this latest version that I have shared with you.
