While testing a Spanish interview, a partnering organization made the following translation requests:
"Necesario" to "Requerido"
"(mm/dd/yyyy)" to "mes/día/año"
I definitely agree with the latter, since Spanish users might not know what the "yyyy" on the date field is.
The Requerido tag also seems a better way to go being that "Required" is a more common label than is "Necessary" on both electronic and non-electronic forms, unless research was conducted and that is not actually the case for the typical Spanish form.
