After sme investigation of slowness from CLEO This guide Guided pathways to divorce forms (v47b_DA - 6 July 2021).zip running on latest version, 2021-05-04

runs considerably slower than on version 2019-02-11

delays have been observed to be about 1s after clicks with Firefox as worst case.

Had Zoom call with CLEO today, 7-30-21, and had them run some tests comparing their hosting vs our hosting, as well as testing between chrome, and firefox.

final takeaways:

firefox is indeed slower, but reasonably useable for both our hosting and their hosting
the 2019-02-11 version is definitely faster, but is missing a couple of fixes that are in the newest version
they are going to send us those missing bug fixes, and we will backport those fixes to the 2019-02-11 version (co
uple of lines of french translation are missing, and this bug for sure https://github.com/CCALI/CAJA/issues/2634, #3 TBD)

there apears to be an interaction with adblock and ublock where disabling ameliorates this behavior. Unclear why this is as this should only affect matomo, not ui.

@tobiasnteireho I feel like this ended up being an edge case that sort of resolved itself? Is there more to do/follow up on this one?
