I did some more tests and deleting the userbackground.png
file indeed resolved the issue.
When I set the custom background again the image shows for the first time, but then if I relaunch the game, it starts crashing again.
I checked if the issue was present on older versions by keeping the data folder unchanged (with the "broken" image inside) and I can confirm that it's present from LiquidBounce b78
and above. With versions <b78
the game launches without problems and with the image loaded.
Here's some details about the image file:
It was originally a .JPG
file and I simply renamed the extension to one of the supported formats (.PNG
)
Even if I use a tool to actually convert the image, the issue still persists, so it doesn't matter.
I also tried with different PNG images, but the problem is the same.
Very helpful! Thank you.
