Doesn't latch on when balance plug is inserted as bootstrap occurs. Seems to work otherwise, including when balance is inserted after bootstrap on.

Assess what it takes to do 2S protection IC. Can we remove the balance IC in the process?

VC1 should not be run to Pin 5. Likewise, VDD (pin 3) should be powered via VC1 through R201 (470R) if this is to be used.
